Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how PuroPlate, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("PuroPlate," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information across puroplate.com and related applications (collectively, the "Platform"), regardless of whether you are visiting as a prospective Consumer, a prospective or active Supplier, or simply browsing.

1

Who This Policy Covers

This Policy applies to everyone who interacts with the Platform, including:

  • Visitors who join our consumer waitlist or browse the Platform without an account;
  • Prospective Suppliers who submit our supplier interest form;
  • Once the full marketplace is live: Consumers who place an order as a guest, without creating an account;
  • Once the full marketplace is live: Consumers with a free registered account;
  • Once the full marketplace is live: Consumers with a paid Subscription (see the separate Subscription Terms);
  • Once the full marketplace is live: Suppliers with an active marketplace account.

The information collected from guest-checkout Consumers, account-holder Consumers, and paid-Subscription Consumers is largely the same — a Subscription adds paid features on top of an existing account rather than collecting a new category of data. Section 2.4 below covers all three together and notes the differences where they exist.

Note that basic dietary/avoidance preferences are already collected today at the waitlist stage (Section 2.2); what's future functionality is the full severity-tagged avoidance profile, live ordering, and payments. Sections describing that future functionality are marked "FUTURE FUNCTIONALITY" and will apply once it is available.

2

Information We Collect

2.1 From Anyone Who Visits the Platform

  • Automatically collected technical information, such as IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, typically via standard analytics and cookie technologies.

2.2 From Consumers Joining Our Waitlist (Current)

  • Name and email address;
  • Dietary and avoidance preferences you select from a multi-select list on the waitlist form (for example, indicating ingredients or categories you want to avoid for allergy, sensitivity, dietary, religious, ethical, or other personal reasons);
  • Any information you include in a free-text inquiry field, if offered.

At the waitlist stage, we do not collect a severity level (severe, moderate, or low) for these preferences, and we do not collect payment information. Severity levels are added once you create a full account, as described in Section 2.4 below.

2.3 From Prospective Suppliers Submitting Our Interest Form (Current)

  • First and last name;
  • Email address;
  • Company name;
  • Product categories;
  • Company website URL;
  • Any comments you include.

2.4 From Consumers With an Active Marketplace Account Future Functionality

  • Account and contact information: name, email, phone number, and shipping address;
  • Avoidance profile information: the items you indicate you want to avoid, along with a severity level for each (severe, moderate, or low). We use this information to personalize the recommendation you see for each product by comparing your avoidance profile against that product's underlying PuroScore (see Section 2.5). This is limited to the categories and severity levels you select — we do not collect a full medical history or diagnosis information through the Platform;
  • Order and transaction information: products purchased, order history, delivery address, and payment confirmation. PuroPlate does not store full payment card numbers; these are handled directly by our payment processor;
  • Browsing and usage information: products and categories you view or search for on the Platform, used to recall your recent activity and to surface similar or related products;
  • Reviews, ratings, or other content you choose to submit.

2.5 From Suppliers With an Active Marketplace Account Future Functionality

  • Business and payout information collected via our payment processor, including identity verification and tax information needed to receive payouts;
  • Company/business and product information: product names, ingredient lists, allergen statements, certifications, manufacturing methods (collected to help identify cross-contact and shared-facility risk), pricing, and inventory levels;
  • PuroScore: using the product and ingredient information above, PuroPlate generates a per-product, per-allergen score called PuroScore. PuroScore is calculated independently of any individual Consumer and is not itself personal information about a Consumer; it becomes part of a Consumer's personalized rating only when later compared against that Consumer's own avoidance profile (see Section 2.4);
  • Communications with PuroPlate and with Consumers through any in-Platform messaging, if offered.

3

How We Use Your Information

Depending on your relationship to the Platform, we use the information described above to:

  • Maintain our waitlist and respond to inquiries (Consumers, current);
  • Evaluate supplier applications and follow up about next steps, including for any current outreach program PuroPlate may run (Suppliers, current);
  • Send updates about PuroPlate's launch and relevant news, where you have not opted out (all groups);
  • Create and maintain your account, once accounts exist (future functionality);
  • Generate PuroScore for each product based on Supplier-provided ingredient and allergen information, and generate a Consumer's personalized rating by comparing that Consumer's avoidance profile — including the items they wish to avoid and the severity level for each — against the relevant product's PuroScore (future functionality);
  • Process orders, payments, deliveries, and Supplier payouts (future functionality);
  • Coordinate delivery and fulfillment, including sharing necessary order and address details with delivery partners (future functionality);
  • Improve and maintain the Platform, including troubleshooting, analytics, and fraud/safety prevention (all groups);
  • Comply with legal obligations, such as tax reporting for Supplier payouts (future functionality).

4

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. Depending on context, we may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Platform and manage outreach (for example, our CRM and email/marketing platform providers);
  • Payment processors, to process Consumer payments and Supplier payouts, once live;
  • Delivery and logistics partners, to fulfill and deliver orders, once live;
  • Suppliers, limited to order details necessary to fulfill a Consumer's order (such as items ordered and delivery address) — Suppliers do not receive a Consumer's full avoidance profile, only the product-level information needed to fulfill the order, unless the Consumer chooses to share more (future functionality);
  • Consumers, in the form of product and business information a Supplier has chosen to list publicly (such as product name, ingredients, allergen statements, and certifications) (future functionality);
  • Professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, where necessary;
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where required by law;
  • A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Categories of Personal Information Disclosed (CCPA/CPRA)

California and certain other state privacy laws require us to disclose, by category, the personal information we have disclosed and the categories of recipients, as well as any personal information "sold" or "shared" (as those terms are defined under applicable law) over the preceding 12 months. The tables below reflect our current data practices and will be kept up to date as our marketing, analytics, and ad-tech stack evolves.

5.1 Categories Disclosed to Service Providers and Partners (Not a Sale or Share)

Category of Personal Information Categories of Recipients
Identifiers (name, email, phone, address) Customer relationship management and email/marketing platform providers; payment processors and delivery/logistics partners, once those features are live
Commercial information (orders, products viewed/purchased) Payment processors and fulfillment/delivery partners, once those features are live
Avoidance profile information — basic category-level preferences (no severity) are collected today via the waitlist form (Section 2.2); full severity-tagged avoidance profiles are future functionality (Section 2.4) Used internally to generate a Consumer's personalized rating by comparison against product-level PuroScore; not disclosed to Suppliers or other third parties beyond the order-level product information described in Section 4
Internet or network activity (Usage Data, e.g., IP address, browser/device data) Analytics and marketing platform providers

5.2 Categories "Sold" or "Shared" for Advertising or Marketing Purposes

We use retargeting advertising: third-party advertising and analytics partners help us show you ads for PuroPlate, including ads based on products or pages you have viewed, on other websites and platforms you visit. This activity may constitute a "sale" or "share" of personal information under CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws, even though no money changes hands. We have disclosed the following categories of personal information for this purpose over the preceding 12 months:

Category of Personal Information Categories of Recipients
Identifiers (name, email) Advertising and marketing platform partners
Commercial information (order and purchase history) Advertising and marketing platform partners
Internet or network activity (browsing and usage data, e.g., products or pages viewed) Advertising and marketing platform partners

As stated in Section 5.3 below, avoidance-profile information is not included in any category disclosed for advertising or marketing purposes and is not used for ad targeting.

5.3 Sensitive Personal Information

Avoidance profile information (including items related to allergies, medical sensitivities, religious practices, or other personal characteristics) is treated by PuroPlate as "sensitive personal information" under CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws, once that data is collected as part of the full marketplace (future functionality). We do not currently use avoidance-profile information to target advertising.

6

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies, including third-party analytics tools, to operate the Platform and understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the relevant function — for example, waitlist and supplier-application information until you ask us to delete it or the relevant program concludes, and account, order, and avoidance profile information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping, tax, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes (future functionality, once accounts exist).

8

Your Choices and Rights

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. Once accounts exist, you will be able to access and update your account and avoidance profile information directly within your account settings.

We offer the following rights to all visitors and users, regardless of where you live, subject to certain exceptions. Some of these rights are stated using the specific terms used in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), since that law currently provides the most detailed framework of this kind, but we apply them to everyone who uses the Platform, not only California residents. If you are a resident of a state with its own comprehensive privacy law (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or others), you may also have additional or differently-worded rights under that state's law; we intend to honor verifiable requests consistent with whichever law applies to you.

  • Right to Know/Access — the right to request what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and (if applicable) sold or shared about you;
  • Right to Delete — the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you;
  • Right to Correct — the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you;
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing — described below;
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — the right to direct us to limit our use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Platform. We treat your avoidance profile information (Section 2.4) as sensitive personal information, given that it can reflect allergies, medical sensitivities, or religious or ethical beliefs, and we use it only to generate your personalized rating as described in this Policy — we do not use it for advertising (Section 5.3) or for any purpose beyond providing the Platform's core functionality;
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights;
  • Right to Appeal — if we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our denial.

You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the details in Section 13 below. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to our ability to verify that authorization.

Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing

As described in Section 5.2 above, we use retargeting advertising, which may constitute a "sale" or "share" of personal information under applicable law. You may opt out of this activity at any time by contacting us at the email below. If you visit our Site with the Global Privacy Control opt-out preference signal enabled, we will automatically treat this as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for the device and browser you use to visit the Site.

9

Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect the information we collect, including relying on PCI-compliant payment processors for payment data once live. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11

International Users

PuroPlate is currently available for deliveries in the U.S. only.

12

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as the Platform evolves, including as new features launch. We will post the updated Policy here with a new Effective Date, and will provide additional notice for material changes where required by law.
